The End and the Beginning

Well, we made it to the end.  Many, many thanks to Jon Warnes for starting this project and seeing it through to the end.  What a great idea!  I also need to acknowledge Randal Matheny's help in walking me through the process of setting up the automatic emails in Posterous.  

And I thank God for all of you who committed to this great effort.  We've been blessed by doing this and can be a greater blessing to others when we share God's Word with them.  In fact, now is when the real work begins!

Day 100 - Hebrew 11:1

NET  Now faith is being sure of what we hope for, being convinced of what we do not see.

NIV  Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.

Day 99 - Hebrews 10:23

NET  And let us hold unwaveringly to the hope that we confess, for the one who made the promise is trustworthy.

Day 98 - Romans 5:6

NET  For while we were still helpless, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly.

Day 97 - Romans 5:5

NET  And hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

Day 95 - Romans 5:3

Day 94 - I Peter 3:16

NET  Yet do it with courtesy and respect, keeping a good conscience, so that those who slander your good conduct in Christ may be put to shame when they accuse you.

NIV  keeping a clear conscience, so that those who speak maliciously against your good behaviour in Christ may be ashamed of their slander.

Day 93 - I Peter 3:15

NET  But set Christ apart as Lord in your hearts and always be ready to give an answer to anyone who asks about the hope you possess.

NIV  But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect,

NASB  but sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, yet with gentleness and reverence;

Day 92 - I Peter 3:14
